Wreaths
I was never a big fan of wreaths. For pine, give me a tree or nothing else. Perhaps it comes from living in apartments for years and years, but there seemed little need for such things.
Not the wreath of Khanna
Wreaths have been used for countless years, of course. The laurel wreath, for example, in Ancient Greece and Rome, perhaps popularized best by Caesar. The association with Christmas comes from Advent wreaths which were used by the Lutherans in the 16th century. They were typically filled with candles of white and red.
For this holiday season, I offer you the following wreath, and a reminder that the Klingons have a saying, “revenge is a dish best served cold”, but to also remind you that the holidays should be warm, and full with cheer.
